Dr. Kevin Potocsky completed his undergraduate studies at University of Michigan, then earned his DDS at University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry in 2001. He worked under his father, Dr. I. Dennis Potocsky, for a year before taking over the Allen Park office in 2002. Dr. Kevin is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry, Michigan Dental Association, Detroit District Dental Society, American Dental Association, and Alpha Omega Dental Club. He was recognized in an article that ran in DentalTown Magazine for his achievements with teeth bleaching.
Dr. Kevin is certified in esthetics by Nash Institute and currently attends the Dawson Academy. He is trained to administer Six Month Braces® and miniature dental implants, as well. After hours, Dr. Kevin enjoys movies and sporting events. Dr. Kevin also likes to play hockey and golf.
Dr. Douglas Shiffman became affiliated with Smile Sensations and Dr. Kevin Potocsky in December of 2016. He received his undergraduate degree in 1970 from Wayne State University and his D.D.S. degree from the University of Michigan in 1974. His affiliations include life membership as a U of M Alumni, American Dental Association, Michigan Dental Association, Francis B. Vedder Crown and Bridge Society, Alpha Omega Dental Fraternity, and Oakland County Dental Society. Dr. Shiffman continues to enjoy his dental practice in all phases of general dentistry. When away from the office, his joys in life include spending time with his wife Julie, his children, and four grandchildren. He enjoys watching sports, playing golf and exercise.
I have been practicing dental hygiene for 24 years. I love my profession, and it is extremely rewarding building patient relationships and helping them achieve their oral health goals.
My husband and I have 3 boys. My older 2 boys have graduated and are working as apprentices. My youngest is in high school. We love spending time outdoors. The boys hunt, fish, and play sports while I try keeping pace with my favorite running partner (our German shorthair pointer)!

Certified in administering local anesthesia, nitrous oxide, and CPR. I am a passionate Dental Hygienist who is devoted to educating patients on how to achieve and maintain a healthy smile. I take pride in providing patients with highest quality dental care and building long-term relationships.
I graduated in 2006 from the University of Michigan with a Bachelor’s degree in science of Dental Hygiene. I am also Certified in Local Anesthesia and Nitrous Oxide. While going to school I also worked as a dental assistant. I truly love the dental path I have chosen. It’s not often someone can say they love coming to work, but I can. It is my second family. While at home I love spending time with my family!! My husband James and I have 3 amazing children.
I’ve been assisting for 10 years but in my off time I love to spend time with my busy 4 year old and Great Dane Olive.
I have been saving the world one tooth at a time for more than 20 years. I started my long, illustrious career as a dental assistant way back in 2002 and have enjoyed every day of it. My time outside of work is predominantly spent taking care of my son and my four legged fur babies.
I have been a Dental Assistant for 21 years. I enjoy hanging out with my family of 3. I like watching and playing sports. My favorite part of my job is making the patient comfortable and making them smile.
I’m new to the dental field. I’ve been a registered medical assistant for almost 15 years, but I needed a change. I have a 5-year-old daughter and 2 bonus kids along with our dog child. Some of my favorite things are spending time with my family, music, & sports, especially hockey.
I have been in the health and dental field for just short of 50 years! I never tire of helping patients. I still get excited to be able to help patients get their dental care done and be able to restore their overall health. It continues to amaze me the difference we make in people’s lifes!
Sharon has worked in the dental field since she was 17 years old. She joined our team two years ago and said that she found her new home. Her favorite part of her position is being able to help people achieve wonderful smiles! She is certified in ACLS, OSHA, and HIPPA. Sharon grew up in Dearborn Heights and has lived down river for several years now. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and new grandbaby!
Wendy has been in the dental field for 36 years. She enjoys photography, rock collecting, and raising monarch butterflies. She is a breat cancer survivor.
